RECKON is a fast-paced calculation game built around a simple challenge: can you keep a changing number in your head while the pressure builds? A shuffled sequence of cards creates a different calculation journey each round.

01 · THE GAME

What is RECKON?

Players work through the cards in order, maintaining a running total and racing to be the first to call RECKON with the correct final answer. Because the sequence is shuffled, the calculation challenge changes from round to round.

02 · THE SKILLS

More Than Mental Arithmetic

Calculation sits at the heart of RECKON, but the challenge also exercises working memory, concentration, processing speed, sequencing, decision-making and accuracy under pressure. Players cannot simply memorise a solution.

03 · THE ETHOS

Think for Yourself

RECKON is designed around the idea that thinking should be active, competitive and enjoyable. Technology supports the game rather than doing the thinking for the player. The Vault handles verification; the player still has to calculate, remember, decide and act.

CIPHERVA RECKON

How It Works

RECKON is a race to keep a running calculation in your head and be the first player to call the correct final answer.

1. Shuffle & Deal

Shuffle the RECKON deck. Lay down 7 cards in order: 1 START card first, followed by 6 operation cards.

2. Lock the Sequence

For the physical game, enter the 7 card codes into the Digital Vault in the same order the cards were laid down. The Vault locks the hidden answer.

3. Start Together

Turn the cards together and start the countdown. The START card gives the opening number. Everyone begins calculating at the same time.

4. Calculate in Card Order

Answer each card's question and apply its printed operation to your current running total. Always work from left to right, one card at a time.

120 → ×2 = 240 → +5 = 245 → −4 = 241

5. Call RECKON!

When you believe you know the final total, call “RECKON!”. Pause the countdown and enter your answer into the Vault.

6. Correct or Eliminated

Correct: you win the round. Incorrect: you are eliminated from that round. The other players resume with the exact time that remained.

When Time Runs Out

If nobody gives the correct answer before the countdown reaches 00:00, the round ends. The Vault reveals the final answer. Start a new round with a freshly shuffled sequence.

The Vault will deal one START card and six operation cards. They remain face-down until you press START GAME.

Prototype uses the current real RECKON card-front files available in the project. Physical Play P1.1 remains a separate preserved Vault.
